What is the Botany SuperClinic outpatient centre?
Botany SuperClinic is a public outpatient service. This means they provide a wide range of day clinic appointments.
However, unlike large hospitals like Middlemore, you must be referred by your family GP or by our Urgent Care team.
Botany Super Clinic is a part of Te Whatu Ora, Counties Manukau District Health Board. Therefore all treatment is free for New Zealand residents.
If you’ve been seen by one of our team at East Care, the process will be:
- East Care GPs will refer you to Te Whatu Ora for ongoing care.
- Te Whatu Ora will decide where your ongoing will be delivered.
- This might be at the Botany SuperClinic if appropriate.
Who funds treatment at the Botany SuperClinic?
Within the East Care Health Hub we are lucky to have this wonderful public health facility to support people who live in communities run by Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau Health.
You’ll need a GP referral to get an outpatient appointment
In order to access the range of medical outpatient services at the Botany SuperClinic, first you’ll need a doctor’s referral. Generally a referral will come from your regular family doctor. But if you have visited the East Care team for Urgent Care, you might get a referral from us. This could be following an accident or when seeking medical advice that needs further non-urgent care.
Following any treatment, you’ll be able to get any pharmacy supplies from the onsite SuperClinic Pharmacy.
