Clinical Director East Care
Dr Peter Woodward has been working at East Care Urgent Care since 1998. As Clinical Director, he leads our team of Accident and Urgent Care Professionals. This long tenure means Dr Woodward has extensive experience in General Practice and Urgent Care.
Initially, Peter started as a part-time East Care doctor as an adjunct to General Practice. But slowly, his role evolved to full-time as the Clinical Director of East Care Urgent Care. Squeezing in more study, he attained his Urgent Care Fellowship in 2019. Moreover, he holds diplomas in paediatrics and Obstetrics.
Born and bred in Auckland, Dr Woodward trained extensively in Middlemore and Rotorua Hospitals. Before long, he started practising in South and East Auckland and found a passion leading accident and urgent care professionals. Married with three teenage children, Peter enjoys travel and is an avid supporter of the New Zealand Warriors.
Dr Peter Woodward is a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care.
