Urgent Care General Practitioner

A founding team member, Dr Lorraine Forbes, has been working at East Care since it opened. Furthermore, she has been a General Practioner in Howick since she emigrated to New Zealand in 1993. Therefore it’s safe to say Dr Forbes is a true East Auckland local!

A South African by birth, Lorraine Forbes qualified as a doctor in 1989 at the University of Cape Town. Later, she found her calling while working in South Africa as an Emergency Care GP. New Zealand sounded like a great place to raise a family, so Dr Forbes moved to Auckland with her husband and now has two ‘kiwi’ adult sons.
